I bid to all Moslems around the world a blessed Maulidur Rasul; Salam Maulidur Rasul!

Today; 26th of February, 12 Rabi Al Awwal 1431H is the day of The Birth of The Last; Muhammad SAW. It is a day that commemorates the birth of our beloved prophet, the last Prophet among the 25 Chosen Ones.

However I am not feeling well today. Suddenly after the last night's usual-practice&play the squash and tennis, my body sensed uncomfortable sign. The sign went about clear today as I keep vomiting the entire morning, only then I discovered that I caught up with fever.

I guessed it is because of the scorching hot weather for these several days. Perhaps the antibody in my body is just not enough or too weak to adapt to the unpredictable climate.

Luckily enough today is the beginning of the most anticipate weekend. I hope within these 3 days of weekend, my body could recover and be back to the normal state soon.

Bila Angkasawan Negara melawat UTP

Saya tak minat Syeikh Muzaphar, sebab itu saya tak pergi motivational talk yang disampaikan oleh beliau pagi tadi di Chancellor Hall, UTP.





Saya tipu je.

Sebenarnya saya antara insan yg mengagumi pencapaian beliau. Yelah, sebut saja...angkasawan, doktor, model, penceramah, lecturer, semuanya dah berjaya dicapai beliau.

Saya tak mungkin mampu capai semua tu krn saya sedar siapa saya. Ukur baju di badan sendirila.

Tapi saya tak pandai buat baju. Saya tak ada pita ukur.

Okey.sudah.jangan mengarut.Nonsense.

Buang Tabiat

Penat. Sengal. Lenguh. Sakit sendi. Sakit urat. Semua ada.Macam-macam ada.

Itulah akibatnya daripada buang tebiat. Ye, saya bercakap tentang diri saya sendiri.

So many things happened this week. Some were so saccharin sweet and some were bitterly a 'hell'. Lets just talk about the sweet one, becoz it kind of bizarre things to me or simply said; buang tabiat.

Well actually, tidaklah terlalu buang tabiat sangat sebenarnya. Cuma saya sendiri yang merasakan sebegini.

Okey, first sekali saya dengan bangganya memberi tahu, saya sudah pun mem'format'kan laptop saya buat pertama kalinya. Ya, saya tidak pernah langsung memformat laptop saya semenjak pertama kali saya beli 4 tahun lepas.

Okey, itu mungkin tidak hebat sangat. Saya bermain futsal buat pertama kalinya hari jumaat lepas. Hebatke? Mungkin. Saya adalah seorang kaki bangku (honestly n sincerely ngaku). So bayangkanlah bangku menyepak bola. Kali terakhir saya bermain bola kira2 tujuh tahun lalu...

It does not stop there. The enthusiast and passion for sport continue. I then play tennis and squash, two of only this sport of kind i used to play during my high school. And it was such a joy and remedy to the old time i had had long ago.

Now that my body is full with aches, sengal sana sengal sini. Itulah akibatnya daripada jarang bersukan. Hmm..jgn jadi macam saya okey. Buanglah tabiat.

Enuf.

Proton Hibrid Car

I have nothing to say.

Just that i pray this litle concept car by Proton developed together with Italdesign will turn into reality. Will this be a debut for Proton to enter the global market and be on par with other outo company such as hyundai/kia/etc.

Kudos for Proton.

Sayonara Tan Sri Hassan Merican

Sayonara!

As one of the PETRONAS scholar and InshaAllah, hopefully a future-to-be PETRONAS employee, tak dapat tidak saya secara tidak langsung terdedah dengan hal-ehwal berkaitan PETRONAS. Setelah lama berteka-teki, akhirnya semalam kerajaan pimpinan DSN (Datuk Seri Najib) telah mengumumkan pengganti presiden dan ceo PETRONAS, TanSri Hassan Merican yang akan tamat kontraknya 9 Februari ini dengan diambil alih oleh Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abas. Well, that's the end of Hassan Merican era.


Secara peribadi, terang-terang saya merasakan kehilangan seorang yang telah berjaya membawa PETRONAS as a multinational company to be a 'house power and an iconic icon of Malaysia'. If Finland has Nokia, Korea owns Samsung and Netherland has Shell as their 'house power', so as us, we have PETRONAS.

Sedikit info mengenai Hassan Merican:

• Mengikut info yang saya cari, Hassan Merican berasal dari Merbok, Kedah tak jauh dari kampung halaman saya yang terletak di daerah Yan ( Kampung Singkir).
• Saya pernah bertemu dengan Hassan Merican ( secara tak formal la) pada tahun lepas. Ketika itu saya sedang menjalani industrial practical di PETRONAS Carigali, KLCC. Apa yang saya dapat lihat, Hassan Merican memang seorang yang humble dan low profile. (Ini just pendapat saya)
• Hassan Merican mula berkhidmat dengan Petronas sejak 1989 sebagai Naib Presiden Kanan Kewangan sebelum dilantik sebagai Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif pada 1995. Beliau kemudian menyandang jawatan Pemangku Pengerusi pada 2004 hingga sekarang.
• Di bawah tempoh perkhidmatan beliau, PETRONAS telah diiktiraf sebagai satu-satunya syarikat global Fortune 500 dari Malaysia. Ranked at no. 80 based on 2009 ranking.
• PETRONAS berada di tempat ke-13 as the most profitable company in the world dan diiktiraf as one of the new seven sisters in the oil and gas industry. Wow!
• Satu fakta menarik tentang Hassan Merican ialah, beliau pernah dicalonkan dan dijemput oleh United Nations(UN) untuk membantu kerajaan Iraq untuk membangunkan semula industri minyaknya setelah teruk di bom oleh A.S. Menarik bukan?

Saya berbangga dan berterima kasih di atas setiap usaha dan pencapaian yang telah dicapai oleh PETRONAS selama berada di bawah perkhidmatan Hassan Merican. Semoga legasi ini akan diteruskan pula oleh kepimpinan baru, Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abas yang saya kira mempunyai kredibiliti yang tak kurang hebatnya.
